He founded Valsoft, a Canadian enterprise focused on acquiring software companies, and co-founded Valnet, which operates major entertainment websites including TheRichest.com and ScreenRant.com. He also serves as an investor and board member for early-stage ventures.

Costa is a seasoned investment professional with a proven track record in mergers and acquisitions. At Valsoft, he evaluates M&A targets, conducts due diligence, and structures deals. He has grown and operated a $100M+ P&L and contributed to nearly a quarter of Valsoft's acquisitions. Costa has taught CFA Program courses and authored finance industry articles. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Finance and Accounting from Concordia University, an MBA from McGill University, and is a CFA charter holder.

Travis Cornell is a seasoned finance executive with over a decade of experience partnering with leadership teams to drive performance, scalability, and value creation across growing organizations. As Head of Finance at TAG Software Group, he focuses on strengthening financial operations across portfolio companies, enhancing visibility into performance, and supporting disciplined, data-driven decision-making throughout the acquisition lifecycle. Prior to TAG, Travis was Vice President of Finance at Encore Global Events, where he led finance and operational functions and drove margin expansion through structural and process improvements. He previously held senior leadership roles at Shopify, where he supported rapid global expansion, built scalable financial frameworks, and led strategic initiatives including M&A evaluation and investment planning. Travis began his career in public accounting and is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA).

Aidin is a seasoned technology executive with over 15 years of experience leading global operations, professional services, and customer success functions across the software industry. He oversees the performance and strategic direction of several portfolio companies, guiding them through operational excellence, growth, and long-term value creation. He holds a Master of Engineering in Software Engineering from Concordia University and began his career at Tenrox (now Upland Software).

Thomas serves as both Portfolio Manager and Director of Mergers & Acquisitions at TAG Software Group. With a strong background in capital markets and corporate finance, he brings a sharp analytical approach to evaluating opportunities, executing transactions, and creating long-term value. Before joining, Thomas was an Analyst in Capital Markets at Casgrain & Company. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance from Concordia University.

Valeria leads TAG's investment efforts in Latin America. Originally from Montevideo, Uruguay, she joined Valsoft in 2020. Prior to that, she held various positions in Accounting and Finance at Trafigura Group, TECHO Latam, and KPMG Uruguay. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, skating, and exploring new places. Valeria holds a degree in Accounting from ORT University in Montevideo and an MBA from Concordia University in Montreal.

Mo brings a strategic and operational lens to his role as Portfolio Manager. With extensive experience leading business transformations and post-acquisition integrations, Mo supports the long-term growth and performance of TAG's portfolio companies. Before joining, he held key leadership positions at Valsoft including Director of Business Transformation and M&A Integration Manager. Mo holds an MBA and Lean Project Leader Certification from McGill University, as well as engineering degrees from Concordia University.

Luke is an Investment Director based in London, responsible for evaluating and executing transactions with a focus on Europe. Before joining Valsoft in 2024, Luke spent 3 years at a Platinum Equity Portco as Head of M&A, and 6 years in PwC's Corporate Finance team. Outside of work, Luke is a golf and cricket enthusiast. He holds a first-class degree in Economics from Cardiff University and is a Chartered Accountant.

Matteo is an Investment Director splitting his time across Rome and London, responsible for evaluating and executing transactions focused on Europe. Before joining Valsoft in 2023, he spent 8 years in Private Equity and Corporate Advisory roles across London and Milan. Matteo holds a Master's in Finance from London Business School and is a CFA charterholder.

Atom is an investment professional based in Montreal who evaluates and executes transactions focused on North America. He joined Valsoft full-time in 2021 after completing his undergraduate degree and an internship in 2020, and leads acquisition processes from deal origination through due diligence. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance from John Molson School of Business.

Lucas Canieli is a finance professional with over eight years of experience, primarily in Latin America. At Tag Software Group, he focuses on M&A activity in the region, with a particular interest in Brazil. Before joining Tag Software Group, Lucas spent four years at Itaú BBA, the largest bank in Latin America, where he worked in corporate banking advising mid-to-large companies on credit, financing, and hedging strategies while managing relationships across a range of sectors. He also served as Head of Finance at a cross-border startup, where he built and ran the finance function from scratch across multiple geographies. Lucas holds an MBA from the Rotman School of Management and a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from the Universidade Federal do Paraná. He is also a CFA Charterholder.

Vincent is an Investment Lead based in Montreal, responsible for sourcing and evaluating acquisition opportunities. He joined the firm in 2024 directly from university. Vincent holds a degree in History from Concordia University. Outside of work, he is an avid reader and enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Abdul is an Investment Lead based in Toronto, responsible for evaluating and executing transactions across North America and Europe. He leads the end-to-end investment process across a variety of industries, working closely with founders and leadership teams from deal sourcing through structuring, diligence, and closing. Prior to Valsoft, Abdul worked on the Corporate Development team at GeoComply Solutions, where he supported M&A, investments, and corporate strategy initiatives. He started his career at BMO Capital Markets as an Analyst in the FICC group. Beyond his work in software investing, Abdul is an avid Toronto sports fan and enjoys going to the gym, playing a variety of sports, and travelling to new countries.

Hrithik is an M&A Analyst based in Toronto, where he works across the full deal lifecycle, from origination to closing, partnering closely with founders and internal teams to take opportunities from first conversation to completed transaction across North America. Prior to joining Valsoft, Hrithik gained experience in institutional investing and capital markets, including roles at OPG Pension Plan and RBC Capital Markets. He graduated with distinction from Toronto Metropolitan University with a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics. Outside of work, he enjoys travelling and staying active through sports, and is a passionate soccer fan.

Harrison is an Investment Analyst based in Montreal, where he is responsible for sourcing and evaluating acquisition opportunities. Prior to joining Valsoft, Harrison was an M&A Analyst at AYCE Capital, where he executed multiple platform acquisitions. He previously held investment roles at Framework Venture Partners and BDC Capital, supporting sourcing and diligence across a range of software investments. Harrison studied politics, philosophy and economics at the University of Western Ontario, and holds an HBA from the Ivey Business School. Outside of work, Harrison is an avid rock climber, reader, and baker.

Tim is an M&A Analyst specializing in sourcing, evaluating, and executing transactions. He brings hands-on experience in permanent software capital from his time at Constellation Software. Tim holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Honors) from Wilfrid Laurier University. Outside of work, he enjoys running, cooking, and watching the Buffalo Bills almost make the Super Bowl every year.

Hussain is an accomplished global HR leader with over a decade of experience driving human capital strategy, organizational transformation, and cultural alignment across international markets. He leads people initiatives at TAG Software Group across EMEA, North America, LATAM, and APAC regions.

Josh provides strategic legal guidance at TAG Software Group, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, commercial contracts, and regulatory compliance. He previously held senior legal positions at ERCO Worldwide and worked at major Canadian law firms Fasken and Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP. He holds a JD from Western University and an HBA from Lazaridis School of Business & Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University.
